The Production Planning Analyst is responsible for providing analytical support to the Production Planning team, as well as act as the primary back up for scheduling. This involves conducting key analytical analysis to improve scheduling processes and quality. As back up scheduler the function will be planning and preparing production schedules for the manufacturing of automotive lubricants, chemicals, and blowmolding bottles. This role is responsible for schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and best utilize plant production capacity; as well as, managing inventory levels. Duties also include maintaining MRP and item parameters and ensuring that they are aligned to meet strategic KPI’s (Key Performance Indicator) and ensuring that carrier pick-ups are scheduled and aligned to meet customer requirements. In this role, the Production Planner Analyst will also be responsible for leading key strategic projects while exhibiting strong leadership skills; as well as the ability to drive change.

- Provide analytical support for schedule analysis, parameter generation, inventory analysis, service levels, and other key projects related to production planning.
- Plan and prepare production schedules for the manufacturing of automotive lubricants, oils, and chemicals and the blowmolding of bottles.
- Prepare master schedules to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts and customer orders. Monitor production schedules to achieve customer requirements.
- Analyze production specifications and plant capacity data and perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing requirements.
- Plan and schedule workflow for each department and operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times. Regulate workflow to ensure maximum use of capacity and requirements.
- Confer with department supervisors to determine status of assigned projects.
- Work closely with other departments to maintain schedules and effect changes and revisions in order to meet customer requirements.
- Prepare production reports and maintain master files.
- Identify and contribute to continuous improvement efforts to reduce costs or increase productivity without reducing effectiveness.
- Maintain an open and candid working relationship with immediate supervisor/manager in discussing matters of importance such as any changes to schedule.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONS
An individual qualified for this job must have and maintain the following qualifications:
- Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Supply Chain.
- Production Planning or Manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Technical certifications such as APICS certification highly desirable.
